Yes. NR Doshi & Partners is a UAE-based chartered accountancy and business advisory firm established in 1985, registered to carry out statutory audits across the Emirates, and a member of DFK International — a top-tier global association of independent accounting and advisory firms. This gives our audit opinions both local regulatory standing and international credibility.
A Mainland company is licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism (or the relevant emirate authority) and can trade freely anywhere in the UAE and bid on government contracts. A Free Zone company is registered within one of the UAE's 40+ free zones, offers 100% foreign ownership and streamlined licensing, but is generally restricted from trading directly in the UAE mainland without a distributor or additional registration. An Offshore company (e.g., JAFZA Offshore, RAK ICC) is used mainly for holding assets, international trade, or tax structuring and cannot conduct business or hold a physical office inside the UAE.
Most Mainland companies and many free zone entities are required to prepare audited financial statements annually — either under the UAE Commercial Companies Law, individual free zone regulations, or as a condition of trade license renewal. Audit requirements also apply for corporate tax purposes above certain revenue thresholds. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and company type, so we recommend confirming your specific obligation during onboarding.
UAE Corporate Tax applies at 0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000 and 9% on taxable income above that threshold, for financial years starting on or after 1 June 2023. It applies to most Mainland and free zone businesses, foreign companies with a UAE permanent establishment, and individuals conducting a licensed business or commercial activity in the UAE — subject to specific exemptions for government entities, extractive businesses, and qualifying public benefit or investment entities.
A business must register for VAT if its taxable supplies and imports exceed AED 375,000 over the previous 12 months, or are expected to exceed that threshold in the next 30 days (mandatory registration). Businesses with taxable supplies or expenses above AED 187,500 may register voluntarily. VAT is charged at the standard rate of 5%, with certain supplies zero-rated or exempt.
Outsourced bookkeeping gives businesses access to a trained accounting team without the fixed overhead of a full-time hire, reduces the risk of errors in VAT and corporate tax reporting, and scales up or down as transaction volume changes — which is particularly useful for startups and SMEs with fluctuating workloads.
Businesses typically engage advisory services when planning expansion, entering a merger or acquisition, restructuring operations, evaluating a new market or product line, or navigating a regulatory change — situations where an independent, data-driven view helps management make higher-confidence decisions and avoid costly missteps.
An outsourced CFO service gives a business senior financial leadership — budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and strategic planning — on a part-time or project basis, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire. It's well suited to SMEs and growing businesses that need CFO-level insight but don't yet have the transaction volume to justify a full-time executive salary.
